NerdTools can alert you before your domain registration or SSL certificate expires, preventing unexpected outages.
Domain expiry monitoring
NerdTools checks your domain's WHOIS records to determine when registration expires. You can choose to receive alerts at various intervals before expiry, giving you time to renew.
SSL certificate expiry monitoring
NerdTools checks your SSL/TLS certificate's expiration date. Alert options are similar to domain expiry monitoring.
Setting up expiry alerts
- Open your uptime monitor's settings.
- Find the domain expiry and SSL expiry sections.
- Select when you want to be notified.
- Save your settings.
Acknowledging alerts
If you're aware of an upcoming expiry and don't need further reminders, you can acknowledge the alert. This silences notifications for that specific expiry until the date is refreshed or changes. Use acknowledge when you've already scheduled a renewal or are intentionally letting something expire.
